Position Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. Requires strong mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, conveyor systems, and PLC usage. Performs maintenance across the installed asset base, observes equipment performance, and recommends improvements. Supports company quality and safety standards with a focus on continuous improvement.
Shift
Sunday–Tuesday 4:00 am–4:00 pm; Wednesday 4:00 am–10:00 am.

Non‑Exempt.
Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs, and wear required PPE while in warehouse or production areas.
- Maintain food quality and food safety per corporate, customer, and governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
- Report problems with FSMS to responsible managers to initiate corrective actions.
- Perform repair, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
- Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic).
- Maintain production supporting equipment (glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication, chemical distribution).
- Use innovative thinking to minimize downtime and ensure food safety, product quality, and personnel safety.
- Document and acquire final approvals on work orders, recording part numbers for inventory purposes.
- Communicate maintenance and production information shift to shift.
- Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
- Communicate with production during downtime.
- Collaborate with adjacent teams to resolve issues and drive improvement.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Understanding of food safety requirements.
- Ability to read and work with machine blueprints and parts manuals.
- Work independently without supervision.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Forklift certification.

Education and Experience
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Working Conditions
- Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight; overtime scheduled as needed.
- Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts, noise requiring hearing protection, and temperature extremes.
Travel Requirements
- Minimal travel may be required for training.
Physical Requirements
- Stand or sit for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs; carry 5 lbs; stoop, kneel, and crawl frequently.
- Walk and drive; climb stairs or ladders; balance.
- Attention to detail and coordination; mental stress due to production quotas and deadlines.
