Position Overview

Muenster Milling is hiring a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician for its Freeze-Dried facility in Denton, TX. The technician will support mechanical and electrical maintenance projects for industrial production equipment and partner with production management to proactively address issues, reduce downtime, and schedule repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with the team to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, start-ups, inspections, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring alignment with continuous improvement efforts for an effective workflow.
• Prioritize projects to maintain production, including urgent repairs, preventive maintenance, contractor selection, and inventory management of tools and equipment.
• Maintain proper functioning of refrigeration, compressed air, hot water, treated water, and other systems.
• Regularly evaluate equipment performance, gauges, and instruments, adjusting mechanisms as needed, proactively identifying potential failures, and improving effectiveness.
• Engage with and communicate to managers, providing partnership and coordination to achieve company goals.
• Maintain documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports accurately and timely.
• Conduct research and analysis of maintenance improvements and make suggestions for continuous improvement.

Experience and Education

• Minimum three years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting commercial manufacturing equipment including PLCs, packaging, and food production machinery.
• Vocational, trade school, or associate degree in industrial maintenance technology or related field highly preferred.

Work Schedule

Daytime role supporting the production team, primarily on a 7:00am–4:00pm shift. The position will transition to support day shift across all production rooms (Freeze-Dry, Packaging, Meat Room) and may require overtime, weekends, and holidays per production schedule. Swing shift will be used in each room as production needs arise, with bi-weekly schedules for TeamA and TeamB as follows: TeamA – Week1: Mon Tue Fri Sat; Week2: Sun Wed Thu. TeamB – Week1: Sun Wed Thu; Week2: Mon Tue Fri Sat.
