Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a Maintenance Technician Floater to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep across multiple sites in Hawaii. You will work under the Chief Building Engineer or Account Manager-Engineering and travel to different locations as needed.

A valid driver's license and hands-on maintenance experience are required. Responsibilities include painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Flexible schedule.
• Basic hand tools.
• General preventative maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall).
• Troubleshooting abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good English communication.
• Customer service oriented.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC) and grounds maintenance.
• Interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
• Drive to different locations to provide coverage.
• Lift/push/pull 50–75 lbs.
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems operate correctly and are repaired as needed.
• Create and maintain work orders.
• Create and maintain purchase orders.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as required by supervisor/management.
