Job summary

A leading property management company in Seattle is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Floater who will perform general maintenance across various properties in the Puget Sound region. The ideal candidate will have basic maintenance skills, effective communication capabilities, and be able to travel to different locations to fulfill maintenance needs.

Maintenance Technician - Floater

Location: 401 2nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104

Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a Seattle-based property management company, is searching for a Maintenance Technician based in its Pioneer Square corporate office who will travel to commercial and residential properties throughout the Puget Sound region. The ideal candidate will possess basic maintenance skills and a construction background, as well as the ability to communicate with residents and vendors.

The schedule for this position is 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Responsible for completion of general maintenance tasks, including; service requests, turnover functions, and curb appeal
  • Ensure that the property is clean and free of trash and all common areas are well maintained
  • Basic, comprehensive knowledge including; Painting, drywall repair, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical, pressure washing, and basic carpentry
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner. Assure all service requests are completed daily
  • Promote good public relations with residents, co-workers, and company employees. Represent the brand and company through goodwill to the public using a people first approach
  • Performs other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

What the Successful Maintenance Technician will have:

  • Construction experience preferred, able to perform framing and drywall without supervision
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.
  • Able to travel to various properties to complete larger projects as needed
  • Effective communication skills with residents and vendors
  • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test

Compensation:

  • $25.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE
