Job summary

NALS Apartment Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our properties in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Join a team that values growth and local expertise, with competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance across several properties, completing work orders, turning vacant units, and maintaining pools, grounds, and the maintenance shop. On-call after hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Painting experience preferred.
• Skills relating to all building systems.
• Knowledge of unit turn process.
• Knowledge in plumbing and pool & spa.
• Strong HVAC, appliance, electrical and basic roofing repair skills.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.
• 40-hour work week with weekend availability on-call if applicable.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Physical work including lifting up to 100 lbs.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across multiple properties.
• Ensure service requests, callbacks, and work orders are completed promptly.
• Complete maintenance make-ready sheets.
• Turn vacant apartments.
• Maintain pools and spas, including chemical testing and furniture cleanliness.
• Maintain property grounds, workplace, and maintenance shop.
• Respond to after-hour calls and emergencies.
• Take on additional duties and projects as assigned.

What you will do

Requirements

• Minimum 2 year's of multifamily maintenance experience
• Previous painting experience
• Skills relating to all building systems
• Knowledge and understanding of the unit turn process
• Knowledge in plumbing and pool and spa
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, appliance repair, electrical repairs, and basic roofing repairs
• Valid drivers’ license and current auto insurance may be required
• 40-hour work week; weekend availability required while on-call (if applicable)
• Working inside and outside in all types of weather
• Medium to heavy work, requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to a maximum of 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
• Good hand and eye coordination are essential, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs, and perform repetitive/continuous tasks according to set procedures and sequences
