Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Mishawaka, IN facility. The role involves receiving stock, rotating inventory, general maintenance, and janitorial duties across the site. You will also drive a bakery van for deliveries and assist with bakery equipment maintenance.

The position requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; willingness to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment, basic math and reading skills.
• Learn general maintenance of bakery equipment.
• Requires constant bending, stretching, and good eye/hand coordination.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock from suppliers and rotate/stock in storage areas; perform general maintenance and janitorial duties across the facility.
• Deliver and pick up products from stores as needed.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in assigned facility and/or company retail stores; perform repairs/replacements as required.
• Drive bakery van and make deliveries to stores or other locations as required.
• Maintain water conditioner and clean drains in the bakery; change bread slicer blades.
• Adapt to production needs; may work in production areas or pan room; perform other tasks as needed.
