Job summary

Allure of Zion is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team to oversee the maintenance operations in a care facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and resident comfort. The role focuses on coordinating services, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a timely, cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate has a high school education, knowledge of boilers and mechanical systems, the ability to read blueprints, and strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments and report to the Executive Director.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility/resident property and supervise outside vendors as needed.
• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, and supply areas for upkeep and control.
• Participate in facility surveys and develop a plan of correction.
• Maintain safety programs and ensure PPE use.
• Develop and implement waste disposal policies for the maintenance department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
