Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance and grounds keeping across the community. You will handle painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, with occasional moving of furnishings and on-call shifts.

The role is full-time, primarily Monday–Friday, with rotating emergency on-call. You will contribute to fire safety documentation and upkeep of equipment and safety plans, while supporting resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• General maintenance experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for residents, families, visitors and partners.
• Performs general maintenance tasks including repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related duties.
• Assists with moving residents' furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents' living quarters as required.
• Supports ongoing preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
