Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician, also known as Service Technician, you'll oversee physical assets, perform general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and assist with preventive maintenance and renovation projects.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Use service request system to prioritize daily tasks with guidance from Community Manager and Service Supervisor.
  • Perform repairs/replacements in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior grounds.
  • Monitor service request completion, minimize callbacks, and ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Follow company policies, implement preventive maintenance, and document activities.
  • Exercise independent judgment, manage stress, and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with move-in/move-out reports, unit readiness, and report hazards.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities, respond to resident requests within 24 hours.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and perform pick-up duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 6 months to 1 year of maintenance and safety experience.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, appliances, and preventative programs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HVAC, certifications like EPA, CPO, or ability to obtain.
Work Schedule and Environment:

Typically 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with potential overtime and on-call duties. The role involves indoor and outdoor work, physical activity, and safety equipment use. Travel may be required.
