Job summary

Kaytee in Chilton, WI, is seeking Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts to join our maintenance team. You will work on installation, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of production equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment with extensive safety procedures and environmental policies.

The role requires hands-on repair, dismantling, and setup of machinery, plus testing and inspection to prevent malfunctions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance per guidelines.
• Skilled in repairing, dismantling, and moving machinery.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures.
• Knowledge of maintaining mechanical equipment and systems.
• Ability to test systems per published standards.
• Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Work with operators and supervisors to maintain equipment.
• Follow safety and environmental policies for continuous improvement.
• Dismantle, move, install, or repair machinery and equipment.
• Inspect machinery to diagnose malfunctions and repair.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and instruments to service production equipment.
• Clean plant facilities and work areas.
• Assist with installing new equipment and systems.
• Ensure proper care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform PMP tasks and reporting Food Safety issues.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.
