Job summary

A leading property management company in Plano, TX is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join their team at Cottonwood Ridgeview Apartments. Responsibilities include performing repairs in plumbing and electrical systems, lifting items up to 50 lbs, and providing after-hours service. Qualifications

• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate elevation changes.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is a plus.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is a plus.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs including plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry.
• Provide after-hours emergency service with support of Service Manager.
• Be available as an on-call technician for after-hours emergencies with support of the Service Manager.

Qualifications & Required Experience of a Property Maintenance Technician

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
