Job summary

Hilton Milpitas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, well‑maintained facilities across guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and masonry tasks while supporting preventative maintenance and prompt service requests.

The role requires basic electrical/plumbing knowledge and 6 months of hotel maintenance experience or studies, with full availability for PM/overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
  • Willingness to work PM/overnight shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hotel facilities: Ensure physical functionality and safety of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart‑of‑house areas.
  • Respond to service requests: Quickly handle guest calls and team member work orders.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks: Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and masonry repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections: Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to identify needs.
  • Document maintenance activities: Record inspections and repairs and flag issues for follow-up.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Milpitas Silicon Valley is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. If you are passionate about providing safety in building maintenance this is the perfect opportunity to join the team! We have 267 guest rooms, 14 meeting rooms and 19,000 square feet of event space.

This role will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance for guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well‑maintained hotel.

Shift Pattern: Varies – PM (to include weekends and holidays)

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

Full availability to work PM / Overnight shifts including weekends and holidays.

Basic electrical/plumbing knowledge.

6 months of hotel maintenance knowledge (or studies) ideal.
