Job summary

Hydro is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Elkhart, IN facility. This full-time role supports reliability improvements, performs minor repairs across building systems, and implements preventive maintenance on 12-hour night shifts (6pm–6am) on an alternating weekend rotation.

You will maintain tools and parts inventory, respond to emergencies, and adhere to safety policies. A high school diploma and basic safety knowledge are required, with preferred 1–2 years in general maintenance.

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer application skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and sponsors all continuous reliability improvement standards and practice.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
• Implement preventative maintenance measures.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
• Follows applicable Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions.
• Understands and follows all safety policies.
• Able to work set schedule for full 12 hour shifts.
• Work in both hot and cold conditions.
• Attends training sessions as required.
• Overtime may be required for Job duties.

Starting Rate of pay:$26.62- $32.62/hr.

Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 6pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation.

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred.
