Job summary

Highwoods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 520,000 sq. ft. Class A office building in downtown Nashville.

You will maintain building systems, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for tenants. The role requires hands-on maintenance, ability to work nights/weekends on a rotating schedule, and a background in plumbing, electrical, or building systems. Strong customer service and record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 18+ months of related training or experience.
• Documented training/certification in plumbing, mechanical, construction, life safety systems, or roofing.
• Must have TN driver's license and be available for on-call nights/weekends/holidays on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of building, utilities and equipment for a Class A office asset in Downtown Nashville.
• Address customer concerns and coordinate day-to-day maintenance with outside vendors and contractors.
• Inspect building systems and perform preventive maintenance on water piping, HVAC and fire protection systems.
• Assist in life safety systems and participate in snow/ice removal.
• Maintain accurate records and report on work orders and activities.
