Job summary

The George Evans Corporation in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance and repairs of production machinery and facilities. You will work with the Maintenance Planner-Scheduler, troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and lead safety and continuous improvement efforts.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, and blueprints, plus strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge across 480V-3 phase and control loops.
• Experience in metal forming, fabrication, welding, and machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of production machinery and facilities.
• Troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and NCs.
• Coordinate with Planner-Scheduler on PMs, repairs, and improvements.
• Lead maintenance teams during PMs, repairs, or installations.
• Ensure safety, proper PPE use, and compliance with LOTO.
• Develop maintenance procedures and support continuous improvement.
