Job summary

IDEX Corporation's STC Material Solutions division seeks a Maintenance Technician to support reliable facility and equipment operations across electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, carpentry, and general repair. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment moves, with a required valid driver’s license.

As you progress from Level 1 to Level 3, responsibilities expand to PLCs/CNCs, control systems, and continuous improvement ideas.

Qualifications

• Entry level proficiency in electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, carpentry
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment; identify opportunities to improve safety
• Basic knowledge of tools from hand and power tools to precision measuring devices
• Hands-on mechanical ability
• Good customer service to work with coworkers and users of equipment
• Valid driver’s license to drive STC vehicle locally

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to keep production machines running and buildings efficient
• Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble equipment
• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair as appropriate
• Move and relocate machinery and install new equipment
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment
• Paint and repair building components
• Perform monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and emergency lights
• Operate a forklift and scissor lift
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Other maintenance duties as assigned
