Job summary

Ottenweller Company, Inc. seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

The role involves diagnosing problems, replacing parts, and ensuring safe operation of equipment on site. You will support electrical and mechanical systems, train staff on maintenance procedures including lockout-tagout, and uphold preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5-7 years hands-on electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Collegiate level Industrial Maintenance background/certifications preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak before groups.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment and diagnoses problems.
• Repairs defective machines and equipment by dismantling and installing parts.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and related components.
• Maintains pipe systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, including gauges and valves.
• Assists in performing preventative maintenance and training on proper procedures.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment for metal parts as needed.
• Initiates purchase requests for parts and machines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
