Summary

The successful candidate will start as a Maintenance Trainee and complete an internal Maintenance Training Program to become a Multi-skilled Maintenance Mechanic. The program includes hands-on training lasting up to 24 months, depending on prior experience. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform maintenance tasks independently and with team members, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring equipment efficiency. You will also manage your time effectively, handle equipment responsibly, and collaborate with other departments to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Participate in problem-solving independently or as part of a team.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures.
• Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment per specifications.
• Assist in writing procedures and specifications for maintenance tasks.
• Manage work time efficiently and respond to maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary education or certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.

Skills & Other Requirements

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, shaft alignment, and millwright skills preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and diagrams.
• Capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
