Job summary

Xpress Global Systems (XGS) is seeking a Truck/Tractor/Diesel Technician in Dalton, GA to perform repair and maintenance on commercial trucks, including welding and fabrication. You will diagnose issues, ensure DOT compliance, and help keep our fleet safe and productive.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 7AM, with pay ranging from $24 to $26 per hour depending on experience. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and customer service, and take advantage of a boot program and tool

Qualifications

• Verifiable experience as a Diesel Technician.
• Certification in DOT inspection is required.
• Air Brake Certification required.
• Electrical experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is essential.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of commercial trucks, including welding and fabrication.
• Ensure equipment is DOT compliant.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness, document repairs.
• Diagnose issues on trailers, forklifts, and light mechanical components.
• Complete repairs within standard turnaround times.
• Prepare and file repair orders with clear notes.

Delivering a World of Difference, One Truck Load at a Time. We are looking for a hardworking, intelligent person with a relentless dedication to safety, quality, and customer service to join us as a TRUCK / TRACTOR / DIESEL TECHNICIAN.

• Monday-Friday 7AM
• $24 to $26/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

The Technician will be responsible for:

• Repair and maintenance of commercial trucks, including welding and fabricating
• Ensuring equipment is DOT compliant
• Ensuring equipment is operational with minimal downtime
• Responsible for maintaining a culture of compliance and safety in the workplace by enforcing established policies and procedures
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to clearly document cause, complaint, and correction on each repair order
• Able diagnose and repair issues related to (but not limited to) trailers, some light mechanical on Trailers and Forklifts
• Able to weld and fabricate
• Must be able to complete repairs within SRT times
• Will work on other equipment as necessary
• Must be on time and present on days schedule to work

We offer a Boot Program:

• $150 allowance after 90 days of employment
• Receive every 2 years

We also offer a Tool allowance:

• $500 allowance after 90 days of employment
