Job summary

ProMach Hauppauge is seeking a skilled Machine Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot diverse machinery including die-cutting and flexographic equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure safe, efficient operation across the plant.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, extensive hands-on tool experience, and the ability to work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Experience in machine maintenance and repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
• Excellent communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Use tools and equipment such as wrenches, calipers, and diagnostic machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Test and calibrate machines to ensure proper functionality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols.
• Keep maintenance records and document repair work.
• Conduct electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and production team to address machine breakdowns efficiently.
• Respond to production emergency calls for breakdown maintenance, assess severity, and communicate timeline estimates to supervisors ( Production ).
