Job summary

Northbank Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the daily upkeep of our 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. You will work with the maintenance team to keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facilities in good working order, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist in inspections and repairs HVAC and related cooling/ventilation equipment.
Assist in repairs and installs drywall including mudding, taping, and sanding.
Paint walls and ceilings as needed.
Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unplugging and replacing toilets and sinks.
Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing outlets and switches.
Assist and follow maintenance standards.
Perform general rough and finish carpentry and concrete work.
Perform general landscaping and yard work, including mowing and cleanup.
Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing staff when in resident areas.
Complete administrative forms and reports for facility administration.
Ensure adequate maintenance supply inventory.
Ensure equipment is cleaned and safely stored at shift end.
