Job summary

Villa Gardens Retirement Community is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to install, maintain, paint, and repair facility machinery and structures. The role reports to Building Services/Director of Maintenance and offers a day shift (Tuesday-Saturday) with full benefits.

Pay range is $23.18–$24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position emphasizes quality resident service, preventative maintenance, safety practices, and teamwork with housekeeping, security, and refurbishment

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to read, interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Commitment to safety procedures and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

Provides quality customer service to residents, families, coworkers and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
Completes resident work orders for repairs and/or painting in accommodations, common areas and other structures.
Performs minor repairs, maintenance and painting as assigned by supervisor.
Assists skilled maintenance workers with repairs and other duties.
Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment; inspects belts, fluids, filters and bearings.
Cleans and inspects boiler; handles water treatment chemicals.
Uses basic tools, ladders, and basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry tasks.
Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Supports other tasks within departments as needed.
