Job summary

Community Mainstreaming, a nonprofit human service agency on Long Island, seeks a Maintenance Worker to join our Nassau/Suffolk County facilities. Hours are daytime, Mon–Fri with some weekend coverage, 10am–6pm. Responsibilities include interior/exterior painting, sheetrock, grounds, moving furniture, and safety checks.

Requirements: HS diploma or GED, valid NYS Driver's License, own basic tools, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Prior maintenance experience preferred.

Locations: Nassau and Suffolk County

Hours: Full Time (Daytime Hours)

Monday - Friday, some weekends 10am-6pm

Duties

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker to assist in maintaining multiple residential group homes. Essential duties include, but not limited to:

• Interior and exterior painting
• Sheetrock and spackle
• Maintaining facility grounds
• Moving and assembling furniture

• Vehicle for reliable transportation
• Must own basic tools
• General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical
• At least one year in the maintenance field
