Dandy is transforming the dental industry and expanding its manufacturing operations. We seek a Maintenance Technician to support the facilities team, performing routine and urgent repairs to keep equipment and production running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a facilities and/or manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Understanding of basic safety protocols, including PPE and LOTO.
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret building plans.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work 8 hours/day.
  • Willingness to overtime/weekends to support production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment.
  • Manage and perform reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Develop and execute improvement initiatives to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in managing site projects with contractors and admin tasks.
  • Assemble or move furniture and equipment as required.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role would report to the Facilities and Safety Manager, and would perform a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing equipment and facilities.

These tasks are vital to the safety and efficiency of the manufacturing team, and to the quality of the finished product. The ideal candidate will understand the need for timely and consistent completion of tasks. They will also be comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, performing urgent repairs or day-to-day preventative maintenance.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment, including cleaning, calibrations, inspections, testing, etc
  • Manage and perform reactive maintenance as needed
  • Develop and execute improvement initiatives for minimizing equipment downtime, improving team efficiency, etc.
  • Assist the Facilities and Safety Manager in managing various site projects, including meeting with contractors and performing administrative work
  • Assemble/move furniture and equipment as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a facilities and/or manufacturing maintenance role
  • Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
  • Basic finish skills, including paint and drywall
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for 8 hours/day
  • Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns
  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language
Bonus Points For
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience reporting task completion through a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
  • Certifications in any facilities discipline, particularly mechanical, electrical, or plumbing
  • First aid/CPR certification
  • Forklift experience/certification
