About the Role

Maintenance Technician – Industrial Production Environment

In this role you will provide technical support and expertise in mechanical maintenance for tube production equipment and facility assets. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment improvements, and effective communication with operators, maintenance staff, and management.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, AC and DC motors, control circuits, and operator interface terminals.
• Change‑out and installation of conduit, wiring, disconnects, control boxes, and circuits.
• Change‑out and installation of mechanical equipment, including rigging, welding, motor alignment, pumps, pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders, controls, gearboxes.
• Assemble and repair tooling.
• Operate a forklift and other common manufacturing equipment.
• Work at heights required to service the tube building, equipment, and overhead cranes up to 40 feet.
• Demonstrate journeyman‑level competence in metalworking, plumbing, electrical, or another trade.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial experience with a high school diploma or GED (trade school degree preferred).
• Demonstrated competence in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Welding and/or fitting skills are a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and ability to work any shift.
• Available for emergency calls and additional work as required.
• Must agree to pursue and complete the PA Journeyman certification program (Certified Apprenticeship Program), which requires 2,000 OJT hours per year, 144 hours of self‑study per year, and a total of 8,000 OJT hours and 576 hours of self‑study over approximately four years. Credit may be granted for prior experience up to 50% of the requirement for each component.
