Job Description

Forest Properties Management, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to work at our Coconut Creek property. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out corrective, preventative, cosmetic, and emergency property maintenance. A qualified candidate will work with a team of technicians to assist in their daily responsibilities performing all necessary maintenance for the apartment community.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

1. Perform appliance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling system repairs as needed.
2. Ensure all service requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
3. Perform work necessary to make vacant apartments ready for lease, including cleaning when needed.
4. Report any building, ground, or system issues to supervisor for further corrective action.
5. Communicate effectively and work well with colleagues, administrative staff, and vendors.
6. Be able to work a rotational on-call schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. HVAC certification and appliance repair experience required.
2. At least one year of experience in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, or painting.
3. Ability to lift 75 lbs or more, and perform physical activities such as walking, crouching, bending, reaching into small spaces, and standing for prolonged periods.
4. Good organizational skills with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
5. Bring your own tools and have reliable transportation.
6. Eligibility to work in the USA and provide proof.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay rate starts at $23 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. We offer a great working environment and a competitive compensation package including medical and dental insurance, fully-paid life insurance, 401(k), paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday). May be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus.
