Job summary

Mergon Group in Anderson, SC is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance to minimize production downtime and keep equipment running reliably. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, install and overhaul machinery, and support apprentices while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the plant.

This on-site role requires hands-on experience with CNC machines and general shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive/plastics.
• Experience with CNC machines, Mills, Lathes, Welding.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and/or mechanical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production.
• Install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts as required.
• Maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the production environment.
• Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed.
• Liaise with outside contractors as necessary.
• Training, instruction and supervision of apprentices including carrying out reviews of Apprentice performance, ensuring that Apprentices get experience in all aspects of their trade.
• As assigned by the supervisor or manager, must be licensed and certified to drive a forklift within Mergon Corporation.
