This role is responsible for maintaining the hotel's overall facilities, ensuring efficiency and safety. Based on experience, candidates may be considered for Class 1 (Advanced), Class 2 (Intermediate), or Class 3 (Entry) Engineer positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical systems in guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond to house calls via radio.
• Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.
• Ensure work areas are clean after tasks.
• Complete Daily Work requests in Synergy.
• Help guests with maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, electrical, painting, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Work as part of a team to keep back-of-house areas and equipment in good condition.
• Assist contractors with repairs.
• Understand OSHA rules and regulations.
• Familiar with hotel amenities and facilities.
• Responsibilities may vary depending on the engineering class, including handling commercial equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous building maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to handle lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Perform inspections and repairs throughout the hotel property.
• Frequent bending and kneeling required.
• Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with internal and external customers.
