Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Fulfillment Center operations by maintaining facilities and equipment to maximize performance. The role focuses on reliability, preventative maintenance and improvements.

You will perform preventive maintenance tasks on material handling equipment, use established maintenance systems, and assist in building upkeep such as lighting, doors and plumbing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial or maintenance technology or 2+ years maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.
• At least 6 months experience with hand and power tools in a facilities, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical theory including bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor, construction, and operation.
• Willing to climb to elevated levels for repairs with or without accommodation.
• Willing to lift parts and tools weighing up to 80 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Willing to perform tasks involving repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on FC equipment.
• Use structured preventive maintenance systems to service machinery per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain efficient operation of material handling equipment by clearing jams and removing foreign materials.
• Conduct general building maintenance such as lamp replacement, simple construction, wiring, and overhead doors.
