Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Central Plant in Las Vegas, NV. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, with readiness to respond to emergencies such as fires, power outages, gas or water leaks.

You will install conduits, service air handlers, weld as needed, and ensure safety and proper communication via two-way radios. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout shift.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, in confined areas.
• Capable of using hand and power tools safely.
• Must communicate clearly via two-way radio.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical systems and related equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout the complex.
• Service and repair air handler units and cooling towers.
• Repair or install plumbing and lighting fixtures.
• Weld metal fabrication and install materials as needed.
• Replace/repair high voltage gear and motor control equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance on air conditioners and components.

Perform repairs and maintenance to air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical, and other related systems and other equipment. Respond to emergency situations such as fire, power outage, gas or water leak, and the like.

• Physically respond to emergency situations; i.e., fire, power outage, gas leak, water leak, or any other emergency situation or repair.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout complex.
• Service and repair air handler units.
• Install and repair plumbing.
• Repair or install parking lot lighting ballasts.
• Weld metal fabrication and install material built.
• Replace and install high voltage shunt and motor control gear.
• Service and repair cooling towers.
• Clear drains with electric rotary action snake or other appropriate manner.
• Repair and install new or damaged equipment; such as, television repairs, ceiling repairs due to water leaks, lighting repairs, fixtures, kitchen and other equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of air conditioners; remove or repair air conditioner compressor unit.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior related experience preferred.
