The Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team in Bluffton, IN. You will help maintain facilities, vehicles, and grounds, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for all visitors.

You should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience, basic skills across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, and the ability to read SDS and product labels.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Caylor Nickel Family YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive Maintenance Assistant to join our team to assist in the maintenance, improvement, safety, and cleaning operations of grounds, properties, facilities, and vehicles.

• Support: Equipment repairs, hanging/removing signage, snow removal, weed killing, preventive maintenance tasks (grease bearings, replace belts, clean parts, etc.), minor plumbing, electrical, and construction, record keeping, some clerical tasks, setup/teardown for classes/events.
• Serve: Have a good mechanical aptitude, a focus on safety, good communication skills, and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
• Care: Ensure a safe and secure environment both within and around the facility.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas preferred.
• This position requires the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
• Reliable transportation to attend work.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part-time $13.50-$14.00 hourly
