Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Calloway at Las Colinas. The role requires hands-on building maintenance, responsive service, and a focus on resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests, responding to emergency calls, preparing units, and maintaining facilities. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, with growth opportunities in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years maintenance experience.
• Refrigeration certification Type II or Universal required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, move 300‑lb items on wheels, climb 40‑ft ladders, and use hand tools and test equipment.
• Ability to move heavy equipment (100–300+ lbs) including stairs when required.
• Comfort working at heights and in varied conditions while performing repairs, upgrades, and resident service tasks.

• Handle administrative and contractor tasks such as logging service requests, updating databases, and monitoring vendor performance.

Requirements:

• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, move 300‑lb items on wheels, climb 40‑ft ladders, and use hand tools, test equipment, and hand trucks.
• Ability to move heavy equipment such as appliances, laundry machines, building materials, and amenity equipment (often 100–300+ lbs), including up stairs when required.
• Comfort working at heights and in varied conditions while performing repairs, upgrades, and resident service tasks using ladders and other equipment.
