Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service small to mid-sized buildings and industrial systems in Tampa. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, and assist with installation and modification of building systems. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

The role emphasizes following defined procedures and working under supervision to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic facilities environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of experience.
• Physical capability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Basic skills to follow work routines and standards.
• Strong communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Solid organizational abilities and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Inspect systems, diagnose issues, and complete repairs.
• Assist installation and modification of equipment and building systems.
• Review work orders and coordinate with teams to track completion.
• Support energy management by keeping systems efficient.
• Check installations for code compliance and safety standards.
• Follow established procedures to deliver results under supervision.
