Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain small to medium buildings and industrial systems in the Washington, DC area. You will support preventive maintenance, repairs, and energy management to keep systems operating efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspecting installations for code compliance, following standard procedures, and documenting work orders under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of related experience.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate information clearly.
• Contribute to team outputs by following defined duties and processes under supervision.
• Deliver quality output by adhering to procedures and timelines.
