Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include repairs to fixtures, doors, windows, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds.

The role involves responding to service requests, overseeing repairs in occupied and vacant units, and maintaining accurate work order documentation. Attendance, safety, and occasional lead duties for temporary staff are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple explanation of work on the work order; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral Instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and insurable for driving the agency’s vehicles.
• Must be bondable.
• Regular and in person attendance.
• Able to meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation: walk, climb, sit, stand; use hands and arms to manipulate items; reach; talk, hear, taste and smell; lift up to 100 pounds; vision.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service requests promptly and adheres to safety rules.
• Repairs to building fixtures; replaces broken glass; repairs doors, windows, roofs; paints and caulks walls; maintains grounds and parking areas; cleans and moves appliances.
• Repairs on occupied and vacant units; cleans and maintains common areas; assists in inventory control.
• Troubleshoots repairs and maintains furnaces, AC units, appliances, and tools.
• Keeps inventory of repair supplies and records usage on work orders; completes paperwork timely.
• Attends training and meetings; maintains regular attendance.
• May rotate for emergency calls after hours; may lead temporary staff.
• Trash vacant units within 24 hours of tenant vacating.
