Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Building Engineer Assistant in Dallas, TX to support the Building Engineer with general maintenance across the community and grounds. Experience in basic plumbing, drywall patching, painting, and related tasks is preferred.

This is a full-time role with a Tuesday-Saturday shift and a starting hourly rate of $22–$24, depending on experience. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, upkeep of common areas, completing apartment make-readies,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in apartment, senior living, hotel or comparable setting.
• Proficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical ability.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Ability to work assigned shift which may include early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.
• All offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance as assigned including basic plumbing repairs, dry wall repairs, painting and general upkeep of the community and grounds.
• Maintain upkeep of common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as needed.
• Complete the apartment make ready process in an efficient and detail oriented manner.
• Support resident needs by completing assigned maintenance work order tasks, assist with internal moves as needed.
• Assist with special event set up and clean up as needed.
