Responsibilities

• Diagnose system malfunctions and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Repair or replace defective parts, piping, and system components following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate work orders and projects with supervisors and other trades.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment used for boiler maintenance.
• Prepare repair logs, work orders, and maintenance reports.
• Purchase or request parts, tools, and supplies per district procedures.
• Respond to emergency boiler system failures during/after work hours.

Maintenance Technician – Boilers

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician – Boilers provides operation, maintenance, and repair services for district boiler systems. This position monitors boiler operations, performs troubleshooting and repairs, assists other maintenance trades, and ensures that tools and materials are available to complete maintenance work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine installation and repair requirements for boiler systems.
• Monitor boiler systems and controls to ensure proper operation and safe performance.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and adjusting equipment.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Repair or replace defective parts, piping, and system components following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate work orders and maintenance projects with supervisors and other skilled trades.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment used for boiler maintenance.
• Prepare documentation including repair logs, work orders, and maintenance reports.
• Purchase or request parts, tools, and supplies according to district procedures.
• Respond to emergency boiler system failures during and after work hours.
• Transport equipment and materials to job sites as needed.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to maintenance operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
