Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing and facility assets at the Spring, TX location. The role supports day-to-day maintenance tasks and requires collaboration with production teams to meet safety and production goals.

The candidate should have extensive industrial maintenance experience, electrical expertise, and CMRT certification. Training, safety protocols, and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive and Corrective maintenance.
  • Three or more years electrical experience in an industrial environment and knowledge of electrical theory.
  • Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training.
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment.
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc).
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&ID).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facility assets.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC issues.
  • Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and replace components while maintaining safety and production goals.
  • Identify failed parts and determine replacement needs.
  • Use a CMMS to document work and track machine-related tasks.
  • Interact with production teams professionally and follow stock procedures.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician “B” is in charge of performing tasks to ensure the safety,reliability and efficiency of all manufacturing and facility assets.Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot and solve mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic,and HVAC issues on various equipment and/or recognize when the issue requiresa specialized technician
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks to determine whether failures or issuesare present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need tobe made
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to identify root cause(s) and suggestappropriate follow-up actions
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics,blueprints, mechanical drawings, service manuals and work orders to performrequired maintenance work
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment to make repairs, perform inspections, andreplace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professionalmanner
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to receive workinstructions, identify that belong to machines, and fully document workperformed
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components,including fuses, lights and wiring
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
  • Utilize various testing devices including Digital Multimeters, Ammeters,Voltmeters, Meggers, and Thermal Scanners
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Calculate basic mathematical problems

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenanceemployee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned)Maintenance
  • Three or more years electrical experience in an industrial environment andworking knowledge of electrical theory and associated principles, materials andequipment
  • Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:o Mechanical
  • Lubrication - oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics - valves, actuators, compressors andpumps, piping and tubing, gauges, etc

Electrical

  • AC Circuits (0V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etco Process Control
  • Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies such as VibrationAnalysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and PrecisionAlignment
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright,welding, etc)
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform
  • Kneel, bend, reach and stoop
  • Read, interpret, and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&AID)
  • Sit for prolonged periods of time for training and data entry purposes
