Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance at our apartment communities. You will assist with repairs, unit turnovers, and keeping properties safe and attractive.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-4pm (30 hours/week). Pay: $25-$28/hr with onsite living option. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locations.
• Ability to perform interior/exterior painting, drywall, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests for apartment units and common areas.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, appliances as needed; assist pest control.
• Prepare vacant units for re-rent in a timely manner.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for building systems.
• Monitor fire, water and other critical systems for safety and compliance.
• Perform groundskeeping and interior/exterior cleaning to maintain curb appeal.

This role supports the operations team by completing maintenance requests, assisting with property upkeep, and ensuring vacant units are ready for occupancy.Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (30 hours/week)Pay Details: $25-$28 hrOption for 1 bedroom onsite livingEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance Requests: Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests for apartment units, common areas, and building exteriors. Repairs may include, but are not limited to, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, electrical, plumbing, minor appliance repairs, furniture moving, and assisting with pest control.Unit Turnovers: Collaborate with the Community Manager to prepare vacant units for re-rent in a timely and efficient manner.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, systems, and building infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.Systems Oversight: Understand and routinely monitor the operation of fire control, water, and other critical building systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.Groundskeeping: Conduct regular grounds maintenance to maintain curb appeal and a welcoming environment for residents.Janitorial Duties: Perform interior and exterior cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive property.Supplies and Procurement: Purchase and manage supplies, equipment, and services necessary to meet routine maintenance needs efficiently.Experience performing general maintenance tasks at multiple locationsAbility to work with a diverse population in a residential environmentValid driver’s license and insurance.Successful completion of background check.Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelinesRedwood Communities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
