Job description

Our Client in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician with HVAC, Refrigeration, and troubleshooting experience.

Requirements include:

1. 2-3 years of experience as an air compressor service technician, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
2. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
3. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude.
5. Knowledge of reading wiring diagrams and familiarity with low voltage electricity/electronics is a plus.
6. Experience in servicing and repairing piston and rotary screw air compressors.
7. Ability to perform service and repair on multi-brand compressors, both oil-flooded and oil-free, as well as refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.
8. Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, sit, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.
9. Capability to climb ladders, use lifts, and work in elevated positions. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently and maneuver heavy components.
10. Valid driver's license with a good MVR.
11. Knowledge of job site safety requirements, including wearing hard hats, work boots, and safety glasses as needed.
12. Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight.
13. Basic proficiency with hand tools and maintaining a professional appearance.
