Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a maintenance technician at its Ohio facility to perform preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. The role may require installation or relocation of equipment and working various shifts, including overtime when needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, and welding, and be comfortable using work orders on a computer. Safety adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years’ experience preferred.
• Siemens CNC and/or PLC automation background preferred.
• Proficient with welding equipment: acetylene torch, stick, MIG wire.
• Proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient with using a computer for work orders.
• Rigging and lifting knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance on production equipment, facility equipment, buildings, and grounds using appropriate documents/tools.
• Assist in installation or relocation of equipment.
• Be able to work any shift, weekends, shutdowns, and overtime when needed.
• May perform other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety rules.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Required to perform Preventative, Predictive, and Repair maintenance on, but not limited to, production equipment, facility equipment, buildings, and grounds. These task to be performed using appropriate documents and/or tools.
2. Required to aid in the installation or the re-location of equipment.
3. Required to work any shift, weekends, shutdowns, and overtime when needed.
4. May be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.
5. Required to adhere to all safety rules

Special requirements

1. Must pass Maintenance A test with a 70% or better score.
2. Required to maintain regular attendance and can work in team environment.
3. Self-motivated.

Machines and Equipment Involved

1. Required to use, and be proficient with, a Multi-Meter, Oscilloscope preferred, and other electrical measuring devices when needed.
2. Required and be proficient in reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, schematics and diagrams.
3. Depending on operation, will use any or all, but not limited to, the following as applicable: welding tools including mig, arc, gas braze and diagnostic equipment.

Educational Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

3. Required to use, and be proficient with, welding equipment acetylene torch, stick, and mig-wire welder when needed.
4. Required and be proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems with a proven mechanical ability.
5. Required to be proficient in using a computer for accessing and entering work orders.
6. Rigging and lifting knowledge a plus.
