Job summary

A leading company in manufacturing, located in Whitewater, Wisconsin, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift. This position involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and operating fabrication tools. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in manufacturing maintenance and possess strong troubleshooting and fabrication skills, along with a high school diploma.

Qualifications

Job description

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and track preventative maintenance using digital systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems including:
    • CNC machines, assembly line equipment, HVAC, and paint systems.
    • Process controls (sensors, switches, cameras).
  • Operate fabrication tools (lathes, mills, drill press) for part repair.
  • Conduct fire pump testing and manage hazardous waste disposal.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Work independently with accountability for quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 5–10 years in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Skilled in electrical, mechanical, and fabrication trades.
  • Forklift certified, valid driver’s license.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and special-purpose machines (preferred).
  • Supervisory or training experience is a plus.
