Job summary

The Dartmouth Group in Cape Cod is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support its 55+ active adult HOA community. You will perform exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor roofing tasks to keep the properties safe and well-maintained.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am–3:30pm, with rotating weeknights and weekends on-call coverage and occasional Saturday/Sunday shifts. Hourly pay rate: $25–$28.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of general, residential maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure buildings operate efficiently.
• Repair carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Clean and repair fixtures, doors, windows, lights, gutters and drains.
• Operate and maintain site systems and equipment.
• Maintain company issued vehicle when applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Dartmouth Group is hiring a full time Maintenance Technician to support its 55+ active adult HOA community on Cape Cod.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3:30pm.
Rotating weeknight & weekend (every 3rd or 4th week)
On-call coverage and 3 hour Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-10:00am.

Daily responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
• Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hourly pay rate: $25-$28.

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience.

• Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements.
• Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
