Job summary

Pratt Industries, based in Lehigh County, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep corrugated box production lines running smoothly. You will maintain and repair machinery that converts recycled paper into boxes used by major brands like Domino's, Home Depot, Amazon, and Hello Fresh.

You will troubleshoot industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting expertise with 3-phase power/electricity.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC Motors and motor starters.
• Familiarity with gearboxes and gear reducers.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with electrical instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot logic controllers/VFDs.
• Familiarity with boiler/steam systems, welding/fabricating, conduit bending, and machining.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety protocols.

Maintenance Technician – Up to $36/hr (Based on Experience)

Schedule: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What Does a Maintenance Technician Do at Pratt Industries?

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment to ensure efficiency.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on complex machinery.
• Work with various systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Troubleshooting expertise with 3-phase power/electricity.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC Motors and motor starters.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Physical Requirements: Must regularly stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring dexterity, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Must be comfortable with tasks requiring bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, and crawling.
• Vision Requirements: Must have excellent vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception) and be able to adjust focus.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply basic math concepts.

Reasoning Ability:

• Able to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and apply common sense to problem-solving.

Other Requirements:

• Must have personal tools for the role.
