B.HOM Student Living in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Non-Exempt to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure property standards and safety.
You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, and appliances, coordinate with vendors, and assist with budgeting and purchasing while providing excellent tenant service. The role is day shift, typically 9am-6pm, with nights/weekends required as needed.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to maintenance requests as instructed by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor or property staff, or as requested by residents or vendors. This position ensures that the physical aspects of the property meet the Company’s established standards and any applicable laws.
To perform the role successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential functions satisfactorily. The requirements define the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform the essential functions

9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, with extended hours and/or weekends being required as scheduled, or as needed to meet business needs.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious placed, outdoor weather conditions; frequently exposed to fumes of airborne particles; and occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The ability and means to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
