Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment at our Wisconsin facility.

Responsibilities include supporting the preventive maintenance program, recording work orders, and ensuring safe operation of all machinery. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent, read instructions well, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping of work areas.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Requires regular attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and equipment breakdowns.
• Support the PM program to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems and plumbing systems.
• Start machines and equipment to test operation flow.
• Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete work orders and respond to maintenance calls on the production floor to prevent downtime.
• Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul production equipment.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment/controls, circuits and PLC.
• Troubleshoot and identify worn parts and rebuild machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves and actuators.
• Safe handling and use of various chemicals with hazardous communication requirements.
• Train others as needed.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You….

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping of work areas.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Requires regular attendance.
• Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs
