Job summary

Zoetis Lincoln, NE, seeks a maintenance professional to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment and utilities. This role emphasizes safe, compliant work practices and maintaining validated states across cartonings and conveyors.

Strong mechanical/electrical skills and CMMS documentation are essential to support production schedules. The position requires two years in electro/mechanical work, with an associate degree preferred, and offers full-time hours

• Preferred: Associates degree from an accredited technical/trade school in the electro/mechanical field with 2 years industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as assigned by Zoetis in a safe and compliant manner to meet the production schedule and keep equipment in a validated state.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) per schedule and established task instructions.
• Identify and procure parts to perform repairs while maintaining the validated state of the equipment.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the CMMS and logbooks where applicable.
• Comply with Site SOPs and cGMPs relevant to the position.

Position Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance in a safe and compliant manner on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and utility systems. Requires strong mechanical, electrical, and machine controls skills. Maintain records and complete paperwork in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Improve equipment/system maintenance; develop predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Determine parts required for repairs and submit requisitions. Primary equipment to be serviced and/or operated includes but is not limited to; Cartoners, conveyors, coders, case packers, and various other packaging equipment. Prior experience helpful but not required on equipment. Hours: 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as assigned by Zoetis in a safe and compliant manner as needed to meet the production schedule while maintaining the established validated state of the equipment and/or system.
• Perform preventive maintenance (P.M.s) per schedule and established tasks instructions.
• Identify and procure parts to perform repairs with consideration to maintaining the validated state of the equipment or system.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance work in the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and logbooks where applicable.
• Understand Site SOPs and cGMPs relative to the position and work within compliance of those standards.

Education and Experience

Required: Two years' experience in the electro/mechanical field. Preferred: Associates degree from an accredited technical/trade school in the electro/mechanical field with 2 years industrial experience.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

• Have a working knowledge of and be able to safely and competently operate hand and power tools.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and positively influence internal and external work groups.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Valid drivers' license may be required.
• Computer literacy in M.S. Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, and the CMMS.
• Ability to work flexible hours including work week, weekend, holidays, overtime, and "on-call" duties.
• Ability to distinguish colors associated with mechanical and electrical craft work.

Physical Position Requirements

• Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
• May be exposed to temperature variations and may work in noisy and unconditioned areas.
• Prolonged standing, crouching, sitting, walking, and climbing may be part of the candidate's daily routine.
