Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing site. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on packaging and utility systems, with strong electro/mechanical requirements.

Shift is 3rd, Sunday–Thursday, 11:00pm–7:30am; overtime may be required. Two years of electro/mechanical experience are required; an associates degree in the electro/mechanical field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in the electro/mechanical field.
• Associates degree in the electro/mechanical field preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as assigned to meet the production schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule and task instructions.
• Identify and procure parts while maintaining validated state of equipment.
• Document repairs and PM work in CMMS and logbooks.
• Follow Site SOPs and cGMP compliance in all tasks.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics for service work.

Requires strong mechanical, electrical, and machine controls skills. Maintain records and complete paperwork in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Improve equipment/system maintenance; develop predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Determine parts required for repairs and submit requisitions. Primary equipment to be serviced and/or operated includes but is not limited to; Cartoners, conveyors, coders, case packers, and various other packaging equipment. Prior experience helpful but not required on equipment.Hours: 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.Position Responsibilities· Troubleshoot and repair equipment as assigned by Zoetis in a safe and compliant manner as needed to meet the production schedule while maintaining the established validated state of the equipment and/or system.· Perform preventive maintenance (P.M.s) per schedule and established tasks instructions.· Identify and procure parts to perform repairs with consideration to maintaining the validated state of the equipment or system.· Document repairs and preventive maintenance work in the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and logbooks where applicable.· Understand Site SOPs and cGMPs relative to the position and work within compliance of those standards.Education and ExperienceRequired: Two years' experience in the electro/mechanical field.Preferred: Associates degree from an accredited technical/trade school in the electro/mechanical field with 2 years industrial experience.Technical Skills and Competencies Required· Have a working knowledge of and be able to safely and competently operate hand and power tools.· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.· Demonstrated ability to interact with and positively influence internal and external work groups.· Strong organizational skills.· Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.· Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.· Valid drivers' license may be required.· Computer literacy in M.S.
