Position Details

Maintenance Technician - Dpt. 141

Location: Fort Smith Debone

Shift: 3rd Shift 11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Salary: $20.00-$27.50/hour based on assessment

Position Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and piping/electrical systems in a commercial or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use.
• Tests machinery and support equipment after repair and before use.
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery to identify root causes, listening for unusual sounds, feeling for vibrations, and communicating with users about issues.
• Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles machinery and equipment.
• Cleans and lubricates machinery parts as part of preventive maintenance.
• Installs and repairs electrical components and wiring.
• Maintains piping systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs gauges, valves, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• Operates cutting and welding equipment.
• Uses machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
