Job Description

The Maintenance Technician assists the Director of Physical Plant Operations in maintaining the facility's safety and quality. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, equipment upkeep, safety compliance, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance walk-throughs to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintain HVAC, water systems, lighting, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Handle kitchen appliances and laundry equipment maintenance.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as required.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
• Ensure safety equipment is used correctly.
• Monitor fire, alarm, security systems, and perform basic operations.
• Clean vents, light fixtures, and kitchen vent hoods.
• Perform painting and wall repairs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with supplies procurement and stocking.
• Support inspections and regulatory reviews.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Assist housekeeping staff when necessary.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of repair and maintenance experience preferred; valid driver’s license with a clean record.
